Academics

Maverick School operates in conjunction with Chinook’s Cyber School. All courses offered follow prescribed Saskatchewan curriculum, are offered from grades ten through twelve.  Students receive course materials and continuous evaluation from the distance learning teacher, while receiving tutorial teaching and guidance from the Maverick staff.  Students write complete final evaluation requirements, or where applicable, grade twelve departmental examinations.  Reference materials, including textbooks, audio and video tapes, and other materials are provided by Maverick School.  There is opportunity for student services such as computer software to assist in completing reading assignments and writing assignments. Distance learning is not for everyone.  Courses are demanding and require self-discipline and long term planning.  Students' desire to learn must equal their need to learn.
