Ecological Education 

Another popular component of programming involves students in outdoor education. Maverick staff members have engaged in professional development around wilderness first aid and protection of the environment to enhance programming for students. Three trips occur throughout the school year. Students work with staff to plan the menu, grocery shop and prepare meals in advance. All campers share responsibility for food preparation, woodcutting and general camp maintenance.
