βThe Chinook Cyber School (CCS) was established in the fall of 2010 to provide Chinook students with a unique online learning opportunity. We are excited to be able to support our students in their quest for academic excellence and exploration. We believe there are No Limits to our student's educational opportunities.
Mission Statement:
Chinook Cyber School extends student centered learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of students allowing them to develop personal responsibility as lifelong, independent learners.
Vision Statement:
Our vision is to facilitate students towards taking pride in and ownership of their learning by providing opportunity for personal academic achievement. This will be supported through collaboration with the CCS community which includes teachers, students, support schools, and families.
CCS teachers strive to ensure academic excellence in their courses through relevant educational practice with the assistance of technology.
The Chinook Cyber School is comprised of 6.9 full and part time staff members. We use a student driven timetable to determine course offerings for each year for our high school kids. Staff members are assigned to courses based on their area of expertise and knowledge base.
Teachers use a variety of different technologies to deliver courses. Staff members receive training yearly on the latest innovations in teaching tools and design as well as best practices in course development.
