Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Ice Hut today for Grades 5 and 6 students. 

• Today are school pictures for Ms McWillie’s Kindergarten class through to Grade 8.

• School Pictures tomorrow for Mrs. Robson’s Kindergarten class and for anyone that is unable to get their pictures taken today. 

• Can all Terry’s Team members please meet in Mrs. Thompson’s room today at first break. 

• Senior Boys Volleyball practice this evening from 5 - 7 pm

• Intermediate Boys will practice tomorrow from 7:30-8:30am. 

• Senior Girls Volleyball team will have practice tomorrow after school from 3:30 - 5:00pm 

• Grade 6 and Grade 8 Immunization Consent forms are due back tomorrow.   Please hand it in at the office.  

• Meal Day Orders are due tomorrow.     A link to a Google Form was sent home to families earlier this week, as well as posted on the school’s website. 

Terry Fox Information:

• Tomorrow is the deadline to order a "No Matter What" Terry Fox T-shirt. The order form link was sent to families last week. Payment can be brought to your homeroom teacher. Youth t-shirts are $20, adult sizes are $25 with all proceeds going toward our school's fundraising total.  The order will be placed Friday after school so we can get the t-shirts before our run on Oct 4th. 

• The Family Movie Night is scheduled for Thursday, Sept 26th.   Doors open at 6:00 and the show will start at 6:30. Pre-orders for treats are also due tomorrow. The link to the Google form was sent to families last week. Payment for treats can be made at the movie event. 

• Pizza Hut meal day orders are due this Friday. 

• The Buy the Pie fundraiser will start next week, with ballots available for sale for $1.00 each. Buy a ballot and vote for the staff member you would like to see take the pie in the face! Listen to upcoming announcements for more details! 

• Thank you to all the students who have already set up their fundraising page on our website. Students can follow the link posted on our Irwin website to set up their own fundraising page.  Our fundraising page is https://schools.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin Click the link to donate or to set up your child’s fundraising page.

• Our Top Fundraiser will get to become Principal for the Day, and Mr. Kohlman will have to take their place in their class! 

• The class that raises the most will get to have a Principal or Vice Principal be their teacher for the day!

•  So far, we have raised over $2500 online! 

• If we meet or beat last year's total of $9424.83 our school will earn a dance party with DJ Darby! 

• If we raise $10,000 Mr. Darby will dye his hair, and the top earning class will get to choose the color!

• We have one more incentive to add, if we raise $10, 500 Mr. Eltom and Mr. Grainger will have to spend a night camping out in the Irwin School courtyard! 

• One more reminder that this Friday is Toonies for Terry Hat Day- bring your toonie or cash donation, and wear your hat for the day!
