CAMPS Program is….
an integrated alternative educational setting located in Swift Current. It was created for children who have difficulty in a regular school environment due to emotional, social, or behavioral challenges. We combine the services of justice, mental health, social services and education. The goal of the program is to provide children with the necessary skill sets that will enable them to successfully transition back into a regular school setting. We are successful in keeping kids in school and ensuring they receive a great education, along with the supports they need to be healthy and productive individuals.
Together, it is our hope to:
- Raise awareness of the unique needs of children within our community
- Provide financial support for nutritional programs, support additional hands-on learning opportunities such as STEM, as well as extra field trips
- Ensure the continued quality of special programs
