Subdivision 2: Cabri, Hazlet, Stewart Valley, Success and area
Rachael Eliason was elected to the Chinook Board in November 2020 in Subdivision 2. Rachael and her husband, Curtis, live in the Swift Current area along with their three children. Eliason attended Stewart Valley School and graduated from Swift Current Comprehensive High School. She then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan. She owned and operated an agricultural research company in the Southwest for over a decade and currently works as a consultant for the Farm Land Security Board.
Rachael believes that a Trustee’s primary role should be to act as the voice of local schools, students and families at the division level and that will always be her top priority. As an experienced board member, business owner, and especially as a mom, she represents the students and families. She is committed to being a strong voice for the unique needs of rural schools and eager to be a part of making Chinook schools better places for students to learn and grow, for educators to teach and nurture, and for families and communities to be meaningfully engaged and supported.
