Our province hosted 700 French Immersion teachers from across Canada in Regina this past November for the National French Immersion Teachers' Conference. There was excellent participation and representation from Chinook School Division: both Léanne Marchand and Jaclyn Reaves-Jacobson were on the conference organizing committee, and 13 teachers and two administrators, Chris Siemens and Mark Reiter, attended the full conference.
Kim Thomliston and Léanne Marchand also presented a session as part of the administrator series: Resource Refresh 101, and Ruth Wanjiru presented a session on oral language; both sessions were very well attended.
Teachers had an incredible experience and came back with many new connections and ideas for their classrooms!
